Ford f150 lariet - 2000 - change back disc brakes and pads. Have tried bleeding system with vehicle running and off. When it was off and started the brakes pedal goes soft and to the floor. Have tried...

IF the hand brake activates through the caliper piston unit and it was necessary to screw the piston back in to fit the new pads then you will have to readjust the hand brake .. The may be a bleed nipple on the abs unit . It is not necessary to run the engine to bleed the brakes. IF you used a clamp to push the piston back in then there may be crap in the master cylinder that is affecting the operation of the non-return valve at the outlet of the master-cylinder.

1976 ford f150 broke brake line and replaced it.( rear). Bleed all lines front and back.No air. levels good in mast cylnder. spongy brakes first pump 2nd pump better 3rd 4th pump back to normal.....

Bleed the brakes again. Sometimes it takes more than once to get all the air out especially if you had to do the rear brakes. Hope this helps.

1991 Ford F150 XLT has a hole in the brake line down from brake fluid holder and sprays on engine when brakes applied. Is there an easy way to fix a hole like this?

Unfortunately no. The brake line holds about 4,500 - 6,000 lbs of pressure when your brakes are applied. The only for sure way to fix this problem is to replace the line itself. Trying to do a "quick fix" to your brakes is the worse thing you can do. You will put yourself as well as other lives at risk.

My husband was changing the front brakes on the 2003 F150 and broke the brake line. Will it be difficult to fix?

NO. The line will have to be replaced & the system bled to remove air. Parts are readily available locally at your parts stores like Autozone & PepBoys.

It is best to use 2 people to bleed the brakes after the repair so you both may need to be on talking terms.

good luck

Have a 93 ford f250, blead the brakes but brakes still needs to be pumped before pedal hard. brakes hard when engine not running but after engine starts pedal become weak.

Sounds like you still have air in the system.
Also may need to adjust rear brakes so they don't have to travel as far to contact drums. They are supposed to self adjust as the brake linings wear down but most cars do not do this as well as they are supposed to.

1993 Ford AWD Aerostar Van. When the engine is

Sounds like the front calipers are not fully retracting properly. Check the front caliper operation while a friend pumps the brake pedal, the rubber lines could also be cracked and allowing air into the lines. Check brake fluid level.
