If you have only changed the drive shaft universals then its obvious that something is wrong ,so firstly check that the shafts are not marked to align up with something ,then if need be remove the shafts and check for alignment because if you have used a big hammer in any way detrimental you may have damaged the shafts and bent one or both ,also makes sure the wheels are fitted correctly and their isnt rust or mud behind them ,so jack vehicle up and spin each wheel and look for anything out of the ordinary ,also the two shafts you changed the joints in make sure that when you spin the wheel by hand they look a nice smooth turn ,but i have a funny feeling you have bent the shafts by putting them in a vice and knocking the UJ s out as their is quite a art to this job and a bent shaft is easy to do ,trust me i know because i have bent a few by heavy handling as well ,iam no angel and can get carried away with big hammer as well as anyone

I'd be looking at the switch first to see if it's not working.

My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 has a rear end roaring noise.

Change both axel bearings at the same time. The pinion bearing can be tested by slowly turning the drive shaft by hand and listening for any rough spots. It could be a carrier bearing or a bad U joint too. Isolate it by dropping the drive shaft and turning the pinion yoke by hand. If there is a problem, you'll be able it feel it. Then look at the drive shaft for worn carrier bearing and U joints.

Front vibarates only when breaking

Check your rotors, they are probably warped. If so, then you may be able to have them machined but will most likely need to have them replaced.

1997 gmc yucon 4X4 ball joint removal

Okay, more than likely you are going to need to take the upper and lower arms in to have the old joints pressed out and then pressed in. If you can buy the replacement joints and take them in, you will save a WHOLE lot of cash. You could also do this yourself if you have a hydraulic press or, if you can swing by an auto parts store that rents out tools......it looks like a modified c clamp.
