Electrical problem - 1990 Eagle Talon TSI

the controllers in the vehicle draw a small amount of power even if the car is not running, probably enough to drain a battery over a long period of time, when you store a car it is recommended to charge the battery at least once a month

Where is knock sensor on a 1990 eagle talon

The knock sensor is located in the engine valve or cylinder at the back of the motor or it can be located in the intake manifold close to the point where it connects to the engine block.

1990 talon starter location

easiest way to find the starter is to follow the positive wire from the battery and see where it goes. 9.9/10 it goes to the starter. This does not hold true for the negative cable as it ususaly grounds to the engine or the frame. hope that helps. pretty sure rear wheel drive, if so, starter located on rear of engine on border between transmission and engine. usualy located on the left side of engine/passenger side

New battery but 1990 eagle talon won't start

it is very common to forget one of the wires that attach to the positive battery terminal. There are three wires total, each with a copper colored plate on the end with a hole to go on the terminal. One wire has a fuse box on the side with 1 or 2 fuses in it, one wire comes from the starter and the las is the one that usually falls below the battery tray. That is probably your problem, if not let me know. Leave feedback please!

New battery but 1990 eagle talon won't start

Theres so many things that can cause a car not to start, can you smell petrol after trying to start? if so start with checking the spark side of things, if you dont smell gas find the fuel filter and follow the fuel hose to the fuel rail and squeeze the hose while some one turns the ignition on without starting. You should feel the hose expand when the ignition is turned to the on position, if it does then the fuel pump is doing its job. Like i said it could be alot of things but this is a good place to start. Is it multi coil set up?
