The larger pipe is the gas side. The smaller one is the liquid side. You want to add on the gas side. Keep the can right side up to avoid sending liquid in to the compressor. a/c compressors pump gas not liquid. Introducing liquid to the compressor can break the valves.

Where is the opening to add freon on a 2000 buick lesabre

I have a 2000 Lesabre and it is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment right on top of the Canister. There are two ports, one is larger than the other and both have a threaded plastic cap on them. The smaller one is the low side where you can check your R-134 pressure. Start engine and run the A/C on MAX. Remove the plastic cap from the smaller valve connect your gauge to that valveFollow the instuctions and tempurature specifications on the R-134 package. f9068a37-e087-4f01-b346-ecdafc697251.jpeg 587e478d-1464-4e2e-8ad9-44bf76552d6f.jpegThere ya go man, as you're hooking up the refill line hit the trigger so u don't allow any air in the lines instead of just straight freon.

Where can I find the low pressure port to recharge the a/c?

There are two ports in the engine compartment on the ac lines or the compressor. They are usually covered with black caps. One is bigger than the other to help prevent you from connecting to the wrong side of the compressor.

Where does the freon go on a 2003 Lincoln Navigator?

On the metal AC lines look for a port with a blue cap. If you have two ports that both have black caps, it will be the smaller port.

How do you charge the a/c on 1998 jaguar xj8 high port or low port etc...?

Unless you are an AC technician this is not a safe task to take on. Could even explode/ It is also federal law that only certified techs fool with it.

LOW PRESSURE PORT HAS A BLUE CAP ON IT.MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING REFRIGERANT R-134 BLUE CHARGE HOSE.R-12 CHARGING HOSE WILL NOT FIT R-134 SYSTEMS.SEE YOUR CAR HAS R-134 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM. THE EARLY 90S CARS HAVE R-12 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM.YOU NEED R-134 CHARGE HOSE SET.

Need to recharge the ac system. I see there are two ports within the system. Which is the proper one to recharge my system? 1994 gmc sirra pickup k1500 with 350 motor

if you truck has r-12 you need to convert to r-134
if you truck has been converted to r-134 the small port on the low pressure side is the port to use..
the truck must be in a warm aera about 80 degrees
then hook up the hose or gauges on to low side
start the truck and turn the air on (putting it on high cool and high blower open the can of freon and as the compressure in the truck starts to draw the gas in rock the can from side to side .. if the gas is going in the can will get cold

I NEED A DIAGRAM OF WHERE TO RECHARGE THE AIR CONDITIONER

The Low-side port is just about dead-center in front of the engine. Right in front of the exhaust manifold, and between the two radiator fans. It may have a blue or black plastic cap on it.
The High-side port is on the driver-side (US) behind the coolant reservoir, below the cruise-control motor. It usually has a red cap.
Of course the Low-side is where you would attach the freon supply.
Caution: messing with AC systems can be dangerous to your property, vehicle, and your person. If you have any doubt about what you are doing or what to connect, where, don't! Always use eye protection and gloves to protect your hands.

Need to recharge ac in 1995 chevrolet blazer. Not

1995 should have 134A. Look on the compressor and in the middle of it will be a sticker that says 134a or r12. If it is r12, you must retrofit it in order to charge it yourself.
