If the fuse is good and the light for the rear defroster works, ie; lights up, then check by the drivers side kick panel/ carpet area. There is a connection where I believe a Purple or Purple/White wire connects to the heavier gauge black wire in a plug. They tend to melt and loose connection. You will have to hard wire them or use **** connectors. Basically they use two different gauge wires at this connection and that seems to cause the problem.

All 4 of my power windows stopped working, and i can't find anything about a power window fuse in my manual

Power window usually don't have a fuse but an automatically resetting breaker. If all four windows stopped working at the same time check the body control module that is what manages the power windows. Good luck.

I'm trying to figure out how the rear window defroster works electronically.I have a 2002 Chev Trailblazer and on one tab of the defrost to the grid I have 14V DC and on the other tab 0V DC.Now when I go...

Most of the time the defroster doesn't work because the frail lines that go across the window get damaged.
On my Chrysler it was painted on the window, and I bought "paint" to repair them.
If yours is the in window type, your screwed.
If there is a break, across the break you'll read battery voltage - 12-14 volts.
From one connection to the other will also read 12-14 volts.
One "tab" has to be positive, and the other has to be negative.
Reading at just some point on the grid will not tell you anything.

Where do I start looking to see why my rear defroster is not working on my 2002 Chev Cavalier

First check fuse and relays. If none are bad, check wire connections on back window. Then take a good look at the lines in the window, are any cracked or missing sections? If so, they make a repair kit for this issue. Hope this helps.

Back window defrost

there is a break in the defrost lines. should have continuity from one end to the other, but if lines are broken (cracked window, accidentally scraped, etc.) it won't work.
