I have had this same issue. Sick sick sick of it!!! If the door would open when you yanked the handle inside, I would let it be.
So, after replacing the BCM with a newer BCM, having the truck re learn the fuel passcode and etc... The power locks will now only operate on the passenger side. I put the old BCM back in my truck, and had to have it relearn the code deal for my old BCM.
SOLUTION: Simple and short and to the point.... On the BCM, there are three wire harnesses plugged into the BCM. One nearest to the drivers door (Brown connector) is one we are looking for. Instead of just snipping the light blue wire, and having the truck never again power lock, I cut this light blue wire (it is alongside a white wire left side of this brown plug) and ran it to a small switch I put in my dash, then back to the light blue wire. So now I no longer have a automatic locking door at 15MPH, as long as my switch is off. If I park somewhere, and want my keyless entry to work, I turn the switch on. If I want to lock the doors in a questionable neighborhood, I turn the switch on, and hit my lock button.
Makes so much more sense to have this feature disabled by a switch. So much easier than that BCM switch out deal. AND NO DEALER TECH 2 needed!!!

Ok so it appears that the passenger door still autolocks. WTF? Oh well, back to the drawing board. Will find the wire for the main power lock controller, and switch this.

What's your problem?i have a 1992 chrysler new yorker and the power doors are not working. when you try to use the lock/unlock botton nothing happens, howerver when u go over 15mph it tries the sa

First check the ground wire in the door. Then check the connector on the back of the drivers side lock switch for corrosion. If there is, it is easiest to replace the switch. Everything for the power door lock solenoids routes through that drivers door switch.

You can try jumpering the harness connector cavities with a bent paperclip (hold it with a plier when you do as it can get hot). If the locks pop as they should- replace the switch.

I drive a 2008 ls silverado. I want to disable the driver auto door lock so it will me manual only.

Most vehicles have a switch located under the drvers seat
that closes (makes a connection) when you sit on the seat.
Disconnecting this switch will disable the auto-lock feature
but is not recommended for safety reasons, and possibly
against the law (like everything else mandated to us)...Ray

Magic locking doors

The power locks are controled by the electronic vehicle information center(EVIC) located inside the
overhead console. From you're description it sounds
like the EVIC is recieving false or intermitent signals,
or there could be a problem with the EVIC itself.
Before going to the dreaded dealer, you can try reprograming the EVIC and turn off the auto lock option. The instructions for this procedure should be
in the owners manual if not you can check out a mitchells or chiltons repair manual at the local library
either of these will have all the info you need to turn
off the auto lock, if you choose to diy.
Hope this helps.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado Automatic door locks

I assume you mean that the central locking system will not lock the doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.

I was locked out of my 2007 silverado.

There is a feature called "delayed locking". If you get out of your vehicle and the keys are left in the ignition when you manually lock the doors with the door lock switch, the system will warn you the keys are in the ignition and do you really want to lock the door.
If you manually lock the door with the door lock switch a second time and shut the door, the locking system will lock all doors in 7 seconds and lock you out.

You can disable the feature through you DIC or have your dealer do it for you. The instructions are in the owners manual if you would like to try it.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Best regards,

try punching the remote lock button twice. experience with 4 door s-blazers shows that it has to be done twice to lock all 4 doors. also look for "child safety" switched for the rear doors that may be disabling remote locking for the rears.

Code for automatic door locks on 1999 Chevy silverado

you have to take it into the dealership for a 1999. the dealer needs to change the settings in the BCM (body control module). in 2000, the BCM came preprogrammed to allow the owner to change the door lock settings at home. unfortunately for a 1999, it has to be done at the dealership.
