Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
The only way to protect the battery, is by disconnecting the positive harness from the (+) terminal of the battery. If you want to stop the cooling fan, then unplug the wires from the connector, but the car will owerheat in idling. Might be a bad temperature sensor or something else. If the service engine soon is on, then decode it, find the code explanation and find a way to fix the problem. This car has to be inspected in a mechanical shop, befor the battery is lost.
