Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
My blazer acts like the battery is dead because all my dummy lights on the dash wont come on only service engine soon light and battery light and it just rolls over it dont click like a dead battery or lights dont dim bu the only way i can get it started is if i jump it sometime i have to hit the gas and gas tank it acts like it isnt getting fuel. sometimes it start in 5 min others it starts in an hour
I had this same problem with my 1997 Blazer, which required a fuel pump replacement as Nitrobike said. The sign to look for is when you get in the Blazer, turn your key forward to the accessory position, but not the start position. You should hear the fuel pump charging. It sounds like a hissing or whirring noise for about 2-3 seconds while it pumps fuel into the lines to prime the engine.
Fuel pump replacement isn't cheap, about $700-$1000.
