You have to remove the coil packs and the plugs are down in them holes. 6 coil packs 3 on the left driver side of engine 3 on the other side. 3 square black blocks/each side. Take screw out, pull up on the block. A tube will slide out the hole with it. Spark plug in hole.

Spark plug misfiring what is the cause

Could be these things, most likely down to the least likely.
1) A bad spark plug wire. They can cause this even though you cannot see it happening.
One way to see it is if you look at the wires on a dark night with the headlights off (so the motor is running in pitch black darkness), sometimes it will show up then.
2) A bad spark plug connector, the part that holds the wire and pushes onto the plug.,
3) A bad spark plug, can misfire sometimes.
4) A crack or hole in the distributor cap, can be invisible unless you try # 1.
5) A bad rotor.
Be blessed.

Why does my 1997 honda accord have oil around the spark plugs?

You have to replace the Valve cover gasket. Inside the spark plug hole, midway down is a gasket, every spark plug hole has them, you cant see it because its, well a gasket pressed against two very tight suface every spark plug hole, When these leak they fil up the sprkplug cavity, as you know. Go to a parts store, spend $30 dollars on a VALVE COVER GASKET SET. If reparied properly wiil be a 100% fix. If it's a 4 cylinder honda,, a monkey with downs syndrom could do this in five minutes. V6 accord, save yourself the time, grief and heart ache, and take it to a Professional.

My 02 galant runs rough when put in gear but in idle runs okay it also surges up and down replaced the plug wires

Okay, lets start with the oil you found on spark plugs when you were replacing them. this oil is coming from the valve cover tube hole area, notice the plugs go into the holes in the valve cover, there is a gasket the goes around the top of the tubes and when it leaks it goes into spark plug hole, the valve cover needs replacing .
this will cause rough idle and running problems, after replacing valve cover gasket the holes must be cleaned, using crab cleaner, spray into holes and use air to blow out . this may need to be done a few times to get oil out .
after oil is removed . then remove spark plugs and wipe them clean.
The next step is to find the air (vacuum leak) , you said you hear it around intake tube. check for cracks or broken vacuum line. this leak will cause idle problems and driving problems,

How do u change the sparkplugs on a 2003 Linccoln Aviator. I cant even find them lol. Thanks Jen

The spark plugs are in the cylinder head under the ignition coils, which are under the cover on each rocker cover.

CAUTION! Spark plugs should be loosened 1/4 turn, then compressed air should be used to clear any debris from the spark plug tubes before removing the spark plugs. Failure to do this can result in debris falling into the spark plug holes and entering the combution chambers. This can result in serious damage to the engine.

I cant find the spark plugs on my 1991 kia sportage

If your sportage has the 4 cylinder engine, there is a plastic cover over the engine that is held down by 4 bolts, one at each corner. Remove the bolts with a 10mm socket and lift he cover off and lay it aside. You will see the spark plug wires and the 4 holes where the spark plugs are. The spark plugs are about 4 inches down into the holes. Be careful removing the spark plug wires, they will be tight, and you will have to rotate them back and forth while pulling up to get them loose.

Spark plug on right hand side of motor pops out as

The plug is possibly stripped in the hole and needs mechanical attention immediately. Have a mechanic put a helicoil in the hole where the threads are damaged. Whoever changed the spark plugs last was a **** and needs to never touch another car in his/her life

Were are the spark plugs

Hello, Make sure you use AC Delco plugs 41-950 and wires, these cars are very sensitive to this brand, you will see 4 wires going to 4 round rubber plugs in the front of your motor and you can follow the 4 wires at the back of the motor, pull this round plug its about 5-6 inches long, looks like a cows utter, the spark plug is at the bottom of that hole, you will need a long rachet extention with a 5/8 spark plug remover, its a longer rachet that usally comes will any set, you need to use the spark plug bit because it has a rubber piece in it to hold the spark plug on the way out, I use a regular bit when putting new plug back in so it does not stick down there...some people tape the bit onto the extention so you can pull it back out without the bit sticking down dont have to wrench them in really hard, just snugg them up good.
I alway replace the spark plug Wires one by one even thou they are numbered...hope this helps.

Do not know where spark plugs are located in motor

the spark plugs wires are directly located on top of the engine and the spark plugs are down inside the holes in the valve cover itself. I believe there are also 2 coils on top of the engine, which hide two of the spark plug wires which are attached directly to the underside of each coil, remove the coil pull it upward carefully and you will find the spark plugs for those two in the hole underneath the coil for each one. If you decide to replace the plugs, make sure to check the spark plug gap even if they tell you they are pre-gapped as pre-gapped spark plugs are usually gapped for more than one particular car and it may be incorrectly gapped for your specific vehicle. If you decide to also replace the spark plug wires, you will have to purchase the spark plug wires for the underside of each coil seperately because most local auto parts stores only sell 2 spark plug wires in the set that go onto the non-coil attached wires and plugs, and you have to purchase the coil spark plug wires seperately. So all in all you should have 4 spark plug wires, 2 that attach directly underneath the 2 coils, then 2 regular type wires that run to the other spark plugs. If you look at the valve cover and see the wires, you will see what i am saying better. Just don't forget to ask the autoparts store the spark plug gap recommended for you car, and adjust the gap on the plugs as needed. good luck.

Pull the boots off and use an extension with your socket and "feel" for the socket to go over the spark plug, When you know have a good fit on the plug, use your ratchet and remove each one. Install the plug into the plug socket and again "feel" for the plug hole when your installing them.
