I have the exact same problem. It started (as far as I can tell) just this morning. I got out of the truck and as I walked away, the windows went down and then I could hear the clicking sound of the doors locking and the parking lights blinked on and off as it did. This happened for a long time. I'm so sick and tired of this. I got in the truck and turned the ignition and got the windows back up. As soon as I pulled the keys out of the ignition, the windows went back down and the clicking of the locks started up again. I'm just waiting for my husband to get home from work to figure it out. When I called him he said that maybe the batteries in the remote was going low so I got out the other remote, but it still did the same thing. Even as I'm typing this, I can hear the clicking of the locks in my garage.

Please help! There is nothing in the manual that explains this, there isn't even a troubleshooting section!

There is a new BCM harness, that gets installed at the dealer. Check qith your dealer, to see if you need one of those. Again BCM harness.

Could also be the remote. Some Nissan vehicles have a feature, where you hold the unlock button for more then 3 seconds and both front windows will come down. Depends on model. The buttons fail inside the remote and that's when this problem comes up.

Dome light and key in ignition tone won't quit.

Yes, I would lean toward a stuck drivers door latch. Your door open switch is located in the latch itself and the ding is a reminder your key is in the ignition so you don't lock them in the vehicle when you lock the door. even though your door is shut, the truck still thinks it is open. sometimes spraying the latch with some WD-40 will get it freed up and working again, but a new latch might be in your future.

My car sometimes won't let go of my key when I shut it off. Dealer says it has to do with the theft deterrent module, but all the stuff I've read about it on the internet suggests that the theft...

This is probably the ignition lock cylinder worn out or getting old. The TDM is most likely not locking the key in, but new cars are pretty tied into themselves. For now, just try leaving the key in. Use another one for the doors. Some cars have a small hole under the steering wheel/column that you can stick a pen or something in to release your key. Maybe just be ready for something else breaks, then you'll know what is wrong.

Xterra will not turn on. windows won't roll down, doors stays locked. won't roll over at all. odometer won't come up

Do you get any dash lights when you turn the key on? If not, you could just have a dead battery.

The security red light blinks even if you lock or unlock the car.

Check your security to see if its working by, roll the passenger window down, lock the car as normal like you are going in the store but your window will be down. take your keys inside the house go back out after a few minutes, reach inside the passenger door open the door nad alarm should sound, if this works everything is working fine. security light should blink normal as you enter or exit the car, This sounds normal to me.

Hazard lights flash by themselves, doors won't stay locked (unlock by themselves) key fob won't work.

I has a similar problem and I just took the battery out of my remote. I think there is a problem/ short in the remote. It's as if the button is being pressed when it is not. I will use my spare one in the mean time. It was driving me crazy becuase I was driving long distance at the time and when I removed the battery it stopped. I hope this works for you!

2002 Nissan Altima windows roll down by themselves w/no key in

You need a body control computer, which controls the windows, door locks and other items. The new computer will have to be programed by a good imports shop or Nissan dealer.
