Question about 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria
I had a slipping problem on my car with the ac belt. I bought the correct new replacement to solve the problem, no change! I idler pulley seems fixed, but looks like it should have some kind on movement. WHAT IS GOING ON PLEASE? HOW DOES THIS BELT KEEP TENSION? HELP!!!!
Danny, I agree it's a bear getting the wrench on but what you say works. I used a 14mm wrench. to change the AC belt you need to remove the Pump pulley.thanks for your answer.

The idle pulley is difficult to adjust on this one i will try to walk you through large bolt on front of pulley loosen about two turn the behind the bracket in which it is mounted there is a 15mm adjusting bolt tighten to tension loosen to loosen i say this because some are backwards lol tighten untill you push down on the belt and it deflects only about 1/4 in retighten the front
