ck for leak at intake. if no leak pcm/ecm may be sending fire command to slow to # 1 . the fuel injector is always hot the ecm sends a ground to the injector. even new parts can be bad ck inj, with ohm meter resistance should be the same between each inj. im not sure of the specifications but they should read the same my jimmy specs are 1.9-2.1 any other reading is bad . no resistance or lower or higher readings my injector would be bad. 140 is good reading, timing can be off a little and still run but rough like a miss. a code wont set most misfires will set a dtc or flash the engine light to let you know damage to cat system is happening , to much fuel a system rich,to little a lean. a bad mass airflow meter can also cause a misfiring or rough idle ck with scanner if dirty clean with brake cleaner first before replacing . hope this helps some let me know how it goes.
sounds like you have a couple problems here.,. without enough detail to pigtail either one fully, I'm going to give it my best shot at a guess or two...
How much cranking is required to start the vehicle? if it is a lot - you may want to look at the fuel supply.. filter, the fuel itself and or the fuel pump.
Second: you have something draining electricity from the battery. is there a light inside the trunk or in the glove box where the switch may be stuck on even though it's in theory supposed to be off because the door is closed? -I'm thinking something is milking power from the battery without your knowledge? perhaps the cigarette lighter or something plugged into it? it could be something as small as a check engine light lit up would drain the power out...
Finally, dieletric grease to help with your electrical connections wouldn't hurt albeit most likely not a sole cause of the problem you are experiencing..
Is the ck engine light on If so take to a auto parts store that will ck the car for codes and that will tell you if the speed sensor is working or not> If the speed sensor is not working the ck engine light will be on and the car will have stored that code.If there are no codes that it is most likely the cluster for the speedometer not working . Now the temperature guage not working is the needle spunaround backwards past the stop If so that replace the cluster .If not than it needs to be ckd for a bad tempature sensor.This should also set a code and turn the ck engine light.
You need to have the codes pulled and diagnoised. It could be the cam sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, or the catalytic convertor as well as a combination. Have you cleaned your Mass air sensor?
Hope this helps;
