I'm having the same problem with mine.

    (both sides don't work)

I have same problem. Sometimes the audible note sticks and buzzes. Sometimes the blinker will just stay on. Sometimes it will work if i barely move the turn signal switch. I believe the issue is the toggle mechanism inside of the steering column. I am going to replace the whole switch assembly.

I noticed just this evening that the turn signals are also not working, not making the 'clicking' noise nor blinking other than once, in order to get around this I have started to madly toggle the bar back and forth to try to make others notice my signals. To double-check I also tried the hazard lights, which also will not function properly. I looked in the fuse panel, but everything looks good there.

My car has been doing this for about 3 weeks, it will blink 1-10 times on either side and then just shut off. sometimes i will pull the stick and it'll click once with no light, someone told me to replace the flasher but we couldn't find where it went, and i know the 2001 VW jetta had a recall on it's hazard lights which is i guess where the flasher is connected, i'm thinking that replacing the hazard light switch will fix it

My 2002 Beetle just started doing the same thing, blinks once or twice on either side and quits. Argh.

The hazard warning switch has the relay built in if this fails the indicators won"t flash or won"t work this happened on the wifes 01 beetle.

Right turn signal doesn't always work beyond three flashes

The turn signals on new fords have two settings: three blinks, and continuous blinks. Small movement will set three blinks. Full movement will turn on continuous blinks. Please check, and if still bad you will need to see a mechanic.

What part needs fixed when my turn signal blinker blinnks very fast and sometimes not at all.If I put pressure on the turn arm it will stop sometimes or clicking my high beams on or off sets it right

Flashing too fast means that at least one exterior bulb isn't working. IF its an intermittent problem, once bulb could not be making connection at times. next time its flashing fast, stop the car and look to see which bulb isn't working. Replace that bulb, clean the socket at the same time

Turn signal not blinking

It is sometimes a indication that you have a bulb shorting out and needs replaced. Have someone help you check all your lights to make sure they are all working. If one is out, this should solve your problem.

Where is the turn signal flasher located?

You more likely have a bulb that is no good. The next time your signals aren't working, pull over and check to see which bulb isn't working. Make sure the turn signal is on while checking. It should only be the left or right. Not both. Sometimes you can see the blown bulb with the hazards on depending on your model vehicle. Simply check the bulb thats not blinking for a tight fit. Then replace it if thats not the cure.
