I've got the whole front end off the car, ...(doing a radiator replacement), and still have not found the second horn....

It keeps going off, when re-connecting the battery, (sound

seems to be coming from under the sheet metal of engine bay).

If has 2 or more they should all be located behind the bumper
but mostly the horns will be located down in engine compartment behind the front light assembly which side i wouldnt know cause they keep moving them all over the car
now thats funny since they designed the first beetle

far back corner of vehicle down by the chassis someone before you had placed the other horn away from second i have no idea why but these horns should be right there under the air assembly behind the head light when you hit the horn its supposed to be far away from human as to not interfere with there driving or at least positioned away i just did another skematic of my jetta and low and behold its behind the tail light as with all my other vehicle sitting here

There is a separate horn for the alarm under the plastic cover at base of windshield drivers side.

The horns are located behind the bumper on both sides. It is unlikely both would stop working you likely have another problem here.

Where is the location of the horn in a 2000 Jetta?

On a 2000 Jetta the dual tone horns are on the drivers behind the front bumper. On a 96 Jetta they are behind the front fog light panels. Don't know if you have a 2000 or a 96 because of the title of the question so I included both.

How do I replace a horn in a 2005 vw jetta?

horns are located near the front, generally behind the grill but in front of the radiator. before you get physical, trying unplugging the wiring harness and jumping the battery directly to the horn's electrical
connector. An old extension cord can be stripped at the ends and is a fine jumper. You may find that
the horn toots and the problem lies with the relay or the switch inside the car.

I have a vw 93 jetta how can I keep the horn from going off

I wouldn't recommend removing the fuse, Im not sure on that particular year but usually a fuse has multiple functions not just 1 function. I would find the horn location and just un plug it. But Im curious as to why the horn is going off. Is it the alarm? If it is, I would take the car to autozone and have them test the amp output on the alternator and maybe a load test on the battery....

The horn doesn'work

It'll be located on the driver's side behind the bumper assembly and the wheel.

You may need to remove the plastic guard in the wheel liner or under the car to gain access to it...
