same problem with my 94 2.2 s10. It starves when you floor it. thought it was a fuel pump, changed it.(nothing) Then maybe the EGR was stuck, took it off and the same. But noticed when it was running with EGR off to much exhaust was coming back up. So I believe it may have skiped timing and need a new chain. Hopefully not valves.

What type of plugs did you use? Where the new plugs gapped properly?

I have seen on 4cyl engines that using high performance plugs can cause problems like your's. If you used split-fire's or platinum 4 plugs change them back to OEM sytle plugs and your problem should be solved. If you used OEM plugs check that none are loose or cross threaded as this can cause a loss of compression.

Let me know and I can try to assit further.

The couple across the street from where I live, had the same problem. He also changed plugs and wires and even the coil. I told him to replace the rotor bug and distributor cap and all started running smoothly again. Looking at the bug and cap nothing looked bad other than a little wear. It even checked out using a meter. Only thing I could think of was that there may have been some hairline crake robbing the spark and causing it to missfire.... Don't really know.

1994 Chevy Camaro, 6 Cylinder, stalling problem

Try cleaning the throttle body and the idle speed control valve, they get full of sludge and this causes stalling. Use a product called CRC Throttle valve cleaner on both parts, DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER IT WILL RUIN THE PARTS.

1994 Chevy Camaro Z28 6 Cylinder keeps accelerating without pushing on the gas. I recently removed the air intake thingy on the top of the engine where the fuel injectors are and now it wont run properly....

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as non-genuine replacement are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. replace the air intake thingy as it is critical to the performance of the engine. I suspect your original problem is an accelerator position sensor or an idle sensor.

02 Chevy mailbu shaking during acceleration. Automatic 6 cyl engine - it shakes worst when going from a stop or getting up to highway speeds. What could it be?

My first guess would be a cylinder miss.
Is the check engine light on ?
Have you checked the computer for trouble codes ?

When I accelerate I get hesitation, I replaced the

It can be a few things that cause this.Mass air flow sensor,Map sensor, clogged fuel filter, timing not correct(cause by the knock sensor).I would replace the fuel filter first.Thats the cheapest thing. If problem still exists.Go to a local AutoZone or Pepboys and have them scan for a bad sensor code. Its FREE.Then replace what ever sensor is the problem
