You can use a 3 nch extension and a universal joint attachment to reach these. It is still a little tricky but it will work.

Adjust idle

Before i would adjust idle i would first check the timing. It should idle at or around 750 rpm. Secondly depending on how many miles you have put on the spark plugs i would also consider changing them. Changing spark plugs i a time consuming job. The ladt two plugs neareast the firewall are really hard to get out and when you put the plugs back in use a plug lubricant for the threads.

2001 Honda Passport, change spark plugs with coils on top. Hard to do? Spark plug gap?

not hard to do , just need a little patience to get the coils out of the plug wells.also a swivel type 5/8 inch spark plug socket works best when removing the plugs. as for the spark plug gap, the vehicle requires platinum plugs which do not need gapped.

Plug turned a 1/4 turn and locked down didnt want to force it

no dont force spark plug its trying to cross thread.back spark plug back out.apply thin coat of anti seize compound to spark plug threads.if you have problems getting spark plugs back in a hard to reach place, use a long piece 3/8 vacuum hose about what ever length you need.place vacuum hose over spark plug insulator then install spark plugs to hard reach places to keep from cross threading.if plug tighten 1/4 turn.back out spark plug and try again.dont cross thread or you have to remove cylinder head.if spark plug hole hard to reach to retap or install thread inserts.

How to change the spark plugs on the 3.0

1. Pull the hood release lever located under the dashboard.

2. Walk around to the front of the car, reach under the hood, find the latch and squeeze it. Open the hood.

3. Find the spark plugs, located in a row along one side of the engine (on an in-line four-cylinder engine) and attached to thick wires, called spark plug wires. Cars with V-shaped engines (which can have four, six or eight cylinders) will have spark plugs and spark plug wires on both sides of the engine.

4. Change one spark plug at a time, always putting the plug wire back on before changing the next spark plug.

5. Pull off one spark plug wire where it attaches to the plug. There is a little rubber boot at the plug end of the wire; pull on this part. Pulling higher up on the wire can damage the spark plug wire and cause it to separate.

6. Blow or wipe away any dirt or debris around the spark plug. You do not want anything to fall into the cylinder while the spark plug is out.

7. With the spark plug socket and a ratchet, remove the spark plug by turning it in a counterclockwise direction. You may need an extension for your ratchet if the spark plugs are deep-set or not directly accessible. Ratchets with flexible heads are especially helpful for hard-to-reach spark plugs.

8. Check the spark plug to make sure it needs replacing. A good spark plug should be lightly coated with greyish brown deposits. If heavy deposits are present, if the spark plug is black or if the electrode or core nose are damaged, the plug needs to be replaced.

In servicing the spark plug . If the owner will be the one to change the spark plug then. the owner should locate the spark plugs . then prepare the equipments that is going to be used to change spark plug .First disconnect the spark plug cable to the spark pug . Then use the equipment to take the spark plug off to the engine. The spark plug should be twisted counter clock wise using the equipment to remove the spark plug. Then replace the spark plug.In returning the spark plug ,using the equipment you have to twist the spark plug clock wise . Then set the distributor shaft turn it according to the proper firing order that will be set to the spark plug if it is 1,3,4,2. Then the distributor shaft mark will be on 1.If 2,3,4,1 then the distributor shaft mark will be on 2. Then connect the spark plug cable , after connecting the owner have to test start the car so that to if it back fires .If it back fires then the owner have to repeat again the setting of the firing order of the spark plug until it will not back fires. If the owner don't have time to do the job in servicing or changing spark plug then the owner have to go to a car mechanic and let them change the spark plug.
