From working on other cars the handle is held on by a screw under the snap out cosmetic center piece OR it is held on by a C clip which is underneath the handle. the open part of the C is underneath the crank. so you get a special tool to drive the C clip out or you put a dish towel under the handle and work it back and forth around the C clip. eventually the action of the dish towel will pull the C clip open and off and then you pull the handle off. Note the C clip will be immediately lost in the grass or gravel so do this on concrete.

Timing on Daihatsu Gram Max

Exactly what is the issue you are having? I think your engine uses a timing chain, not a belt. So this means you will need to remove the auxiliary belt and some cover panels to gain access to the chain.
Take close look at the Cam shaft pulleys and the crankshaft pulley. There will be a mark, usually a small groove or a small round dot, stamped into the pulley's face. Turn the bolt on the CRANK pulley BY HAND in a Clockwise direction for 2 full rotations and look closely at the links in the chain as it moves. There should be 'Bright' links in the chain. These links are usually a different colour or marked differently to the rest of the links in the chain. These are your timing marks on the actual chain. These links should ALL line up exactly to the marks on the pulleys.

Daihatsu terios heater stuck on hot

Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car.

1993 Daihatsu Charade Sedan

Hi, chances are that the cable to your fuel door relase mechanism is stretched, this often happens over time especially if the mechanism has been removed and replaced incorrectly. To fix this you will need to open the door with as little force as possible so you dont have to replace that too and have someone pull the lever so you can see if the mechan ism is moving freely, if it is it may be either a stretched cable or crooked mount , try re-mounting as this is the easiest thing to do, if that doesnt help then you may need to replace the cable. If the mechanism is corroded or stiff then remove the mechanism and spray with WD-40 or a similar lubricating/ freeing agent then leave it to soak in and try remounting the mechanism to see if this rectifys the problem. If the mechanism looks to be broken or severly corroded then replacing may be the only option. Goodluck!
