Question about 1994 Honda Civic
Difficult to start in morning. Chuggs, blowing black exhaust, engine sounds like it is racing - once it gets going (5 minutes or more) it usually is ok. Winter here, stopped this morning on the road, sluggish once it started. No sign of oil leaks - exhaust pipe very black. Garage mechanic did not know cause - suggested fault with auto-choke but didn't damm well fix it!
Car has been regularly serviced - no problems till now.
Any suggestions please?
If it is carb version check if auto choke is getting power. If fuel injection replace temp sensor (common fault).
