Question about 2004 Mazda RX-8
We started having an intermitent problem with the power stiring motor, after taking the car to the Masda dealer they determined that the motor was going bad and it would take 900.00 dollars to repair. We dicided to wait and discovered that part of the electrical components (a/c, power window, radio ) would not work and the car would not start or turn over. I found the 120amp main fuse on the fuse block was intermitent and that if you put preasure on one side of the fuse there was arcking and those electrical components would start working again, including the power stiring motor.I replaced the 120A fuse and the car started working again. I thought my problem was over but after a week the problem came back and now is not the 120A fuse, it seems that the problem is after the fuse. another thing that i notice is that the fuse block inside the floor board has no power. can anyone suggest a good source of electrical wiring diagram or an idea of how to correct my problem!
You can find the service manual with wiring diagrams for your car from here:
It looks like the wiring is faulty/burnt out and you may need to replace some of them.
