The important thing now is, Do you really have gas in it? Check the fuel rail pressure and get that taken of, then check all grounds pertaining to the gauge assembly in the tank, and the dash grounding...accordianman

Where is the fuel filter located in a 2005 dodge durango

Almost all fuel pumps on all of the newer cars and truck are located inside the fuel tanks. I'm no expert but I'll bet your Durango will have to have the gas tank removed to replace the fuel pump so make sure the tank is as empty as possible if you attempt to do it yourself.

2002 dodge durango fuel gauge reads empty..wont start . Somtimes reads 1/2tank starts and runs fine...then it dies and reads empty

I would suggest you get the fuel psi tested.I found that even if 1 lb. Under some vehicle's will start and then die.but I would have it scanned for ccodes to see what it says

Fuel gauge on 1999 Dodge Durango reads empty and fuel light comes on, happend after just filling tank. Checked the on board computer and DTE (distance to empty) reads 5C. Vehicle runs fine.

The float mechanism (or fuel level sender) on your fuel pump may be stuck or damaged. Attached is a digram of a typical fuel pump that is located inside the gas tank of your Dodge Durango.metrocard.jpg
You will need to remove your gas tank and pull out the old fuel pump to see if this is the problem. If you do this I would replace the fuel pump with a new one.

Cranks wont start, 98 Durango

check to see if getting fuel or if you smell gas when cranking if you smell gas you probably have a spark problem which will probably be a coil and or a pickup coil in your distributor replace coil and then distributor. If you are not getting gas most likely fuel pump in tank see if it will fire on starting fluid then replace fuel pump good luck

1999 durango

It could be a weakening fuel sending unit or fuel pump. You can try adding an additive to the gas called HEAT. You can find this at your local auto store. It may help thin out the gas a little.

Empty tank, refilled now wont run

Start with changing fuel filter, it may have trapped all the **** from bottom of tank, and is now plugged.
