No, too low current draw. Problem should be confined to the clock. If any other electrical devices exhibit odd symptoms, then the problem isn't the clock. I assume the clock keeps time even though the display is on the fritz...?

More then likely have a defective clock-spring coiled contact circuit filament. The clock spring is the electrical contact ribbon that connects the steering wheel controls and the airbag to the car or truck electrical system. To repair this you must disarm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel.

The car was being driven and died. It turns over but wont start, and doesn't go into gear. Windows quite working and radio and clock don't come on. Buzzing sound from air bag mode.

Sounds like a power supply issue. Make sure the battery is fully charged and the charging system is working properly. If the ECM senses low battery voltage it will shut down different parts of the electrical system in order to maintain a constant power supply for the necessary electronics

How to change light in clock on 2002 honda accord

The clock slides out by carefully prying with a fine screw driver. Take care not to scratch the dashboard fascia. It has a mini light bulb in the back, which can be taken out by rotating it with a small scredriver. it looks like a small plastic disc with ridges on it. Take it to the dealer / parts shop so they can see the proper color. Accord dashboards came with 3 different color plastic covers on the bulbs, in order to match the rest of the dashboard and radio. No need to disconnect the 2 electrical plugs that attach to the clock.

I have a 1995 toyota corolla that the clock has started resetting itself to random times while the car is on. All other electricals seem to be functioning fine, just the clock. Any suggestions besides...

The clock will reset to 1:00, I believe, if its power supply is interrupted and then resumed. This could happen randomly if the clock's electrical connectors have come loose. To verify this, you would need to pull the clock and radio dash panel. This is not too difficult to do, just remove the heating control arm tabs then pry the panel loose at the edges using a flathead screwdriver - the panel is held in just by spring clips. If the clock connections seem secure, you might consider replacing the clock. Inexpensive replacement clocks are available on eBay or from salvage yards.

How do you get the clock out of a 2003 Hyundai Elantra? It doesn't work and I want to see if it can be fixed or replaced.

you will need to replace the clock.the clock has (2) 12 volt power supplies fuse 25 and fuse 9 in the pass. compartment fuse block if these have power and are good check ground g11 located behind the radio.ok you will need to remove the instrument panel facia.thers (2) screws behind the ash tray and above the instrument cluster.be carefull somtime its difficult to pop off use a plastic pry bar to keep from bending the dash.the rest is easy.

300M Dash Gauge Lighting

I HATE Dodge's electrical system. I purchased a 2000 Neon from a junkyard to teach my son and daughter to drive. I refurbished it, but electrical issues had me using techniques I use in my home repair business to fix em. Okay. I'll get over it.
Before you order one of Dodge's expensive parts then find out that customer service sucks, try replacing the dash fuse. Check the relay under the hood in the engine compartment. The clock might use the same switch, but it MIGHT not have the same power supply. I know it sounds crazy, but this is the same company that has the reverse relay fuse located under the center console in the Neon. I'm sure you've already checked that your switch is in the on position, so I hope that changing the fuse and/or relay work.

there is a short in the car's electrical system drawing power from the battery, causing an interuption in the power (hence the clock resetting) and killing the battery. An experienced electrician should be consulted

No clock inside, how can I install one?

Find a blank spot on the dash and make sure there is room behind it to allow a clock to fit there. Find a clock you like in a junkyard and cut a hole where you want to mount it. Careful cutting near any wiring.. Before installing, determine where power attaches to it and make a simple two wire harness ((3) if you need an extra to power a light. Use an in-line low amp fuse in both hot leads. Attach wire that runs the clock to any open acc port in the fuse block that is hot at all times. Attach light power to acc port that is only on with key. attach ground to metal frame of dash. Don't tap power from any fused circut...it may change operation of any control module in that circut. Make sure the new wires do not rest on any sharp metal under dash.
Good luck

If it is not the fuse then it is something internal. I can fix it for far less than the dealer, check out www.autoclockrepair.com
