Check the overflow inspect for leaks in hoses or even welsh plugs in the side of the block a visible leak is easier to diagnose failing that i would suggest it could be a manifold or head problem

Car overheats and Air blows hot at idle?

There are many possibilities for car overheating.

Faulty thermostat clogged radiator/plugged radiator, radiator hose worn out. Coolant running low. Low coolant pressure. Faulty temperate sensor.

My car is overheatting i changed the waterpump/thermostat/heatercore/reservoir and sensors

Does it slowly overheat while driving down the highway..If so the radiator is probably clogged..It can be partially clogged and cause the car to overheat,,but usually takes a little while...If it overheats in traffic..(stop and go ),,but does fine going down the road,,then it make sure your fan is coming on..

I have put a waterpump on my van last year a new thermastat and a fanclutch and my van has went thru the winter fine and now still overheatin what should i do

There could be a bunch of stuff going on. First I would take off the radiator cap or the overflow cap from the plastic tank, as most newer cars don't have radiator caps any longer and everything is filled via the overflow bottle. Drive the car until it gets to running temp. Then keep going and see if it overheats. If it does you have a bad radiator that is not holding pressure and U will have to replace that also. Are U sure the stat is working? tap on stat housing gently with a small hammer this sometimes frees them up. Even a new stat could get stuck. Did you put clean antifreeze in? At a 50%/50% mix. If not this could also cause a car to overheat or ran cold. You can do worse damage to your system by using straight antifreeze, that is why the bottle always tells you to mix as well as your owners manual.

1997 jag xk8 overheated, replaced thermastat and Waterpump still overheating?

Last year my car suddenly overheated while idling to the point the coolant tank exploded. I took it to a foreign car repair shop where they replaced the coolant tank and put in another thermostat. It didn't make it home before it overheated again. I took it to the Jag dealership where they felt that my hoses had expanded to much during the overheat so they replaced all of my hoses to a tune of $1000. Three months later it overheated again. I took it to another foreign car repair shop where they discovered the real culprit. An impeller had broken off of my waterpump, I had a blockage in my radiator, and I had a short in one of the coolant fans that made it only work part of the time. So about $2400 later my car has been coolant issue free for about 2 years now. Good luck and I hope this helps.
