There are thumbscrews and some screws to get the whole assembly out once the hood and another piece are out, then you can put LED replacements (for the turn/running lights) or whatever in. (HID replacement is more complicated; see the HID Headlamp manual for that; it's a pricey factory unit, and unless you had it on full blast, it should have lasted 20 years....)

Fuses are good, replace the turnsignal switch. All the exterior lights run threw it.

When I turn on the headlights, the brakelights won't work including the turn signals. when the headlights are off, the brakelights and turnsignals work. what could the problem be?

My first thought would be a bad ground connection in the harness for the rear lights.
You might want to take a test light and check the contacts in one of the sockets.

Running lights and brake lights not working when headlights on

try replacing the brake switch, or check your fuses, if your turnsignals are still working it should be the brake switch is not closing

Headlights do not work.Have 2002 Jeep Wrangler, replaced multi switch on colum, checked fuses and headlight bulbs, still do not work.

if you checked the fuses for the headlights, pull back on turnsignal handle to see if you have high beam over ride,
if you do i would think it was the headlight switch
