2000 tarus 3.0 flex

It's probably just related to the battery running low on charge. But you will have to get the stored code or codes to be sure. Have someone hook up a scanner or code reader and get the codes, and if it's not an ongoing issue, just have the codes cleared before unhooking the scanner/code reader.

Normally you would have it scanned find out what the problem is and fix it then with the same scanner erase the code which would turn off your light but if you dont fix the problem the lights just going to come back on.There are two ways to clear the codes the best is with the scanner the other is disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes.

P1412 = Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction (Bank 1)
This is from the EOBD section of the manual.
From the SAI section:
If the vacuum operated SAI control valves malfunction, the following fault codes may be stored in
the ECM diagnostic memory, which can be retrieved using ’Testbook’:
P1412 is one of these, particulary described as : SAI system fault (LH side) - air delivery not reaching catalysts.
(DS note. The Left Hand side is as viewed from the drivers seat, not from the front of the enngine bay looking backwards!).
The above system faults could be attributable to anything which might prevent air delivery to the exhaust manifolds (e.g. disconnected or blocked SAI delivery pipe, disconnected or blocked vacuum pipe etc.)

The car runs fine, it must have been a really cold start for this to come up.


P1415 = Secondary Air System, Bank 2, Drive Cycle D: Signal. Land Rover CD lists P1415 as being the result of a disconnected or blocked SAI delivery pipe, diconnected or blocked vacuum pipe, etc.......

disconect battery for 10/15 mins when done touch negative cable to positive battery terminal(while negative still un hooked)reinstall.some codes cannot be cleared with scanner,or still has problem so lite wont go out

It will go away on it's own if the problem is solved. Find out what code you have and go from there. (You need a scanner for that)

Do not jump pins. a 93 is obd 1, and obd 2 scanner can be hooked up to identify the problem. Go to a parts dealership and they will read the code free of charge

You can try disconnecting your battery and than reconnecting it, this usually clears out the codes. But remember that your radio has to be reset with codes so I hope you have them written down, otherwise it will take a special scanner to accesss the abs system.

As long as you have fixed the problem it should not take long, try disconecting battery, let it sit for about 10 min. and hook it back up again.

it could mean many things from a wheel sensor to the abs unit its self. you will have to have it put on a scanner to check. if the light is on then the abs is off and not working.
