That would be a likely yes if engine moves while in reving up it means the motor mounts are wareing out you should get these replaced as soon as possible its quite a simple proceedure also since your replaceing motor mounts have them replace tranny mounts even if those arent bad its a good idea to have stability around the vehicles engine without it you this is what could happen
example tranny mounts break now your whole car had been jard loose and theres more to fix and more of the same motor mounts to replace now paying double for the same work

Engine moves alot when put in gear on 2003 impala?

if it moves alot but no clunking, probably a worn bushing. If clunking, bushing worn right out, or mount broken.

Jerks when put into drive only

You might check your transmission mounts; you have an upper "pendulum" mount, and a "dog-bone" mount underneath.

Have you replaced only the motor or including the gear box (where the input shaft to the linkages is located)?

Have you at all serviced the automatic gear box? one possibility is the gear box. Also the vibration is either broken gear box or engine mountings broken or weak.

Was wonedrin if i had a bad motor mount or trans mount? had some one change trans but they didnt finish the job and had to put it back in by myself everything works but it jumps out of the upper gears now...

Without looking, Id say you have a transverse mount engine (sideways) with three main mounting points. One on either side of motor and one on the transmission end. Its also possible you have some sort of mounting on the north end end of the motor. In any case, the whole affair sits in the engine compartment like in a, the transmission mount is every bit as important as the rest of the mounts, because all are needed to hold it into place properly. If the car is jumping out of gear, that could become hazardous in traffic. Get it looked at ASAP.

My 1995 geo prizm idles roughly in park and the engine dies when you put it in gear. it doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot and forget trying to use the a/c. everything works fine while moving at...

The problem is in the idle air control valve which controls the idle of the motor and idles the motor up when an extra load is put on the motor. It is mounted on the throttle body and is a little round barrel looking item with a plug in on the end of it. change this part out and clear the engine code in the computer and it should fix the issue.

Broken Motor Mount or Motor Mount Bolt

to check for a bad motor mount u need 2 people for this. Have the car running put it into gear with your foot pressed firmly on the brake u don't want to run your buddy over. Give it some gas in the motor is jumping around alot like 6 inches in any direction you have a broken motor mount. Which way the engine jumps will let u know which one is bad. Try this test in reverse gear to.

Toyota vits 2005 shaking engine

Very possibly you have a bad motor mount. Is the engine missing or running smooth but shaky? If it is missing, then it may be plugs, wires, or injectors, if runs fine but shaky, then you may have a bad motor mount.

Car hesitates/stalls when engine is warm and car starts to move.

Sounds like a bad motor mount, pop the hood and see if the motor shakes or moves rapidly when u put it in gear holding down the brake.

check your motor mounts, do this by opening the hood and pushing the car back and letting it rock, if the motor moves more than an inch either way, your motor mounts are bad.
