Question about 1999 Nissan Sentra
I have/had the exact same problem today. I tried the solution as posted, spray WD40 into the ignition switch. That didn't work. I then tried rocking the car back and forth (front to back). That worked. My guess is the key is worn. I will eventually need a new ignition switch. But until that time comes, I will keep rockin' the car.

Sprey some dw40 into the lock cylinder and try again.
you may have to wait a little while or repeat the porces several times, it will turn......

You might have a bad link between the ignition lock and the switch. Replace your ignition switch and your key tumbler assembly.
