A few things could have happen,
1 you overheated and blew the head gasket and now the oil in mixing with the anti-freeze,
OR due to high Mileage the head gasket has just failed and is leaking into the anti-freeze journals inside the engine.,
Did you check the oil to make sure it's not a white'ish sludge on the inside of the cap, you might be mixing both back and forth..
The car may have a compromised head gasket, forcing air pressure into the cooling system, displacing water/coolant mixture and forcing it out into the reservoir.
This can be expensive to fix if it's the case, but it could be that it has a faulty radiator cap also.
does it have proper antifreeze/anti-boil mixture, or just plain water? if it's plain water, it may indicate that this is an ongoing problem that the current owner hasn't fixed.
Check the cap and see if it seems loose, the spring inside should be firm, and the inner sealing ring (rubber) should not be cracked or damaged. if the system is leaking, this can cause similar issues where the coolant boils off into the reservoir.
if the cap seems fine, it will likely be a blown head gasket between a cylinder and a water passage, the problem will continue until the gasket is replaced.
Any spillage should have been dry by now . So i would bring it back to your mechanic or where you got your radiator replaced , Possibly there could be a loos hose clamp or a bad hose .hopefully not much more hope this helps give you some direction to go, Thank You. . feel free to let us know if this helped .
anti freeze goes in tthe over flow tank if there is no fluid in there check you radiator if it is full replace the cap it allows the fluid to transfer from the over flow to the radiator
does the temp like come on? could be bad water pump does it leak pull belt off does it turn easily? if it wobbles wobbles replace or excessive corosion in radiator if really dirty , flushing radiator and new anti freeze
