When I push on throttle and engage the supercharger on my 04 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, the engine sputters a bit and the supercharger psi dips up and down. Check engine light came on, had code read, and was told that the catalytic converter was getting clogged. Would like to know if the two are related and if so, what is the best fix. Believe O2 sensor may play a part in this because it got tapped a few times while doing a tuneup, which was right before problems started to occur. Thanks, Will

Replace catalytic converter before you do more damage to your car. a restricked air flow out the exhaust will cut hoarse power and build up heat in your engine and will burn out sensors

Why does my 99 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharge keep stalling

I would check the idle air control valve before replacing anything.
The computer regulates the idle speed by controlling the amount of air entering the intake thru the throttle body.
The valve could be faulty, or the throttle body can be gummed up.
Is the check engine light on ?

What kind of motor does a Pontiac Grand Prix have?

Depends on what sub-model you have. If you have an SE its a 3100 3.1L Engine. If its a GT its a 3800 3.8L Engine. If its a GTP its a 3800 3.8L but with a supercharger.

2000 Grand Prix GTP supercharger fluctuates when accelerating

There is no wastegate.

Change the spark plugs and pay special attention to the plug on bank 3. Look for physical damage on the electrode...cracked, bent etc.
Use Autolite 605's copper core gapped to .055" and NEVER run less than 92 octane.
