Question about 2006 Chevrolet Uplander

3 Answers

Unsatisfied customer I bought my Uplander in 2007 with 21,000 miles on it now i have 50632 on it, 85% of those accumulated miles are highway miles being that I travel but I took my car in on a regular basic and never once was I told that I had any serious problems with my vehicle but now that my warranty has run out now all of a sudden-I have major problems. For example: Air compressor is totally unrepairable, ABS System Service light is on with needed repairs-Front Struts/Rear Shocks. Wearing out Tires (Cupped Badly) or by the way, I just had new tires put on in Dec., 07, 25%Front Pad-Cannot Turn Rotors. 30% ON Rears. These are serious problems that should not have all of a sudden occured. I perceive that either I have bought a lemon, or a Monday or Friday car, or the dealership just bought time for my warrenty to run out, either case I am requesting that my car is fixed at no expense to me, or I am given another vechicle that is good. I have bought GM all my adult life and I would hate at this time not to support the company that has helped raised my kids, fed and clothed them but I cannot continue to be played with because of what ever reason. Please respond to me in a fashionable manner. Unsatisfied Customer Gwendolyn Hampton 704-267-6191

Since the car was still undr factory warranty if you took it back for the same probs on different occasions depending on yor states laws which in some states you have little lemon law protection but you will have to get a lawyer n try to make them settle a claim against chevy for this car

My 2006 chevy uplander just died on the highway, not the battery , not out of gas. eventually restarted and died 3 more times. what could be causing this?

This engine is fully electronically controlled so the very first thing that must be done is to have a shop scan the systems control module for fault codes and then based on these codes perform diagnostics.

I have a 2005 Chevy Uplander, and when driving on the highway at about 60-65, the van occasionally drops RPM's and when you press the gas harder, it recovers without any jerking or anything. The same...

This is a rare one and can be tricky. Since your rpm gauge rises back up when you increase your acceleration slightly but you feel no jerking of acceleration then this tells me that a speed/rpm senser either has a bad connecton or the sensor itself is going bad when the engine reaches an optimum heat while driveing on the highway. Since you feel no acceleration when you slightly press the accelerator down but yet the rpm gauge is increasing back to normal, the throttle body sensor may be compensating for the failed speed sensor/failed sensor connector. Please get your uplander diagnosed properly first to confim this.

Transaxle/Transmission Fluids Changed?

60k miles is the recommended, so not too far out. Better safe than sorry, new fluids or crunchy broken gears. It's the cheapest option.

2007 kia rondo seems to use alot of gas

I have the same issue of low gas mileage. My 2008 Kia Rondo with V6 (2.7Lt) gets 20-21 mpg in average. Even for highway mileage, it is around 21-22mpg. Very poor gas mileage. Disappointed. I hope it would improve in the future.
