Suzuki engine model number

I am trying to replace a 1.3 suzuki samurai motor with a 1.6 and need to know what kind of car it came out of; to buy a starter motor. The engine serial number on the 1.6 is G16A- 161047. Any clues as to the year and model of car the engine came out of??

WHAT IS BEST OIL WEIGHT TO USE IN 92 SUZUKI SAMURAI?

This is a repeat question about the engine noise.
It should be stamped on the oil filler cap - I would say 10w30 is what was recommended when the truck was new.
The first number is the weight when the oil is cold, and the second number is the weight when the oil is hot.
So when you are talking about temps above freezing the first number would not matter much.

The plug wires are all off of the plugs on my suzuki samairi. i need to know which one goes where.

The best information I have is;
The order is 1-3-4-2
This is the Firing order for the 1987 suzuki samurai with a 1.3 motor.

When changing plugs, do them one at a time to prevent mixups.

Samurai engine swap

It will fit if you:

1. Use an adaptor for the new front wheel engine and the original transmission of your suzuki ( ask your machinist)
2. Have your propeller shaft from the transmission to the independent transfer case resized depending on the outcome of your engine mount.
3. adjust the bracket of your transfer case if you need more room for the propeller.(optional)
4. you dont need to change gear ratio if you plan to use the same tires
