yesterday my suv would not start when turning the key over I would have to restart then it would fire no problem ran fine. no lights nothing. today it would not start restarted nothing restarted finally then ran crappy would not go over 30 mph. the engine lights were on at that point took it in to a shop that was open and the guy pulled the codes 1682 and 2176 but told me he was not able to fix my vehicle due to lack of knowledge on such a complex computer system. had vehicle towed to another shop. just concerned I don't know anything about the shop it is now at and would like to have some idea of what could be wrong now. Thank you for your time. and you help.

My 2007 GMC envoy Denali after it has been running for a few minutes the engine dies either sitting there or while driving, the engine will turn over but will not fire. P1682 code is confirmed

There are 2 ignition 1 voltage circuits supplied to the engine control module (ECM). The first ignition circuit is
provided by the powertrain relay, through a fuse. This ignition 1 voltage circuit supplies power to all the
internal ECM circuits associated with the throttle actuator control (TAC) operation. The second ignition 1
voltage circuit is supplied by the ignition switch through a fuse, and is used to power the remaining internal
ECM circuits. If the ECM detects a voltage difference between the 2 ignition 1 voltage circuits, DTC P1682
will set.

Updated attempts

We had a dodge dakota with the same symptoms and they found a corroded pin on the main connector to the ecm . I think P1682 is low voltage from the charging system. Hope this might help.

P0443 p0689 p1516 p1682 p2101 p2176 i have had the map sensor replaced the ignition switch, fuel pump , maf sensor throttle actuator control and the car still stalls and pulls all these codes the mechanic...

Code p0689 may be the answer as it refers to the ECM power relay control---circuit open. code 0443 refers to the EVAP purge valve---circuit malfunction. I have not got the codes for the rest as they are specific to GMC. But I suspect that the faults will all relate to the ECM

My problam gmc model 2006 coming cde p1682 nex car not start watis solution pleas help

P1682 is low voltage at the ignition switch. 2 things, our ignition switches are prone to go out in Trailblazers and Envoys, so I'd look to replace this first. The only other problem would be wiring harness that leads to the ignition, check for shorts. My bet is the switch, it's not the switch the key goes into, it's under the column cover on the bottom, a little black module. Very easy to take it out and replace yourself and will run you around $35.

Codes 1682 and 2176 in my gmc envoy denali won't start runs hard

The p1682 code is an ignition 1 control circuit code. The p2176 is related to the throttle body. There is a bulletin fron GM on the wiring being rubbed through on the front drive shaft. Have the shop check there first. The first code sounds like a voltage issue, possible ignition switch. Both may be covered under the 100,000 power train warranty. You should call your dealer first to see. Good Luck
