Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
My car would start but not stay alive long. Changed the fuel filter and did a fuel flush. Also changed out the battery. Could it be the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator? If its the regulator, where is it located?
Check your fuel pessure first It should be at LEAST 60 PSI if your not getting that and it usually is around 45 to 55 and its will not run good if its in that range and may not run at all. That year seems to have a problem with those pumps I have replaced many of those noisie pumps always making a humming sound, I would think its your fuel pump and not the regulator but Its found on the fuel rail on top the motor under the plastic. Hope that Gets you running
