Crank but no spark and will not start

my problem is that the motor was running good, I started it and it was running well, then I go to back up and it stalls on me. then I go to try to start it again and it wouldn't start. So I then checked all of the fuses and then I checked to see if there was any fire going through the motor, there was no fire and I still don't understand the problem, some people are saying the crankshaft sensor could do it, but I don't know!!

Did you check the timing you might have busted your timing belt or chain which one it could be
bad alternator
or a bad computer module
diagnosis with out being there is really hard to say but can be done with little bit more information like what happened before this problem occured say like was motor running rough did it hesitate
these things are very helpful in diagnosing the problems

SOURCE: No spark

sounds like your computer . but before replacing computer check wiring harness for possible chaffing this could have been the cause of cooking your computer. your engine will always turn over without computer assist but fuel pump and spark are controlled by computer

1.6liter or 1.8L (2 motors totally unlike each other)
on all 4 spark plugs/? dead.?
is the cam spinning. (open oil filler, see cam ,crank motor, it turns)
or remove dizzy cap, crank motor, does rotor spin?
do you have full 170 PSI compression at wide open throttle.
no, all 4 are way low say 100, the cam belt slipped, this also destroys
dizzy timing. as a RESULT.

Engine wont start but has power

If it will not crank you would need to check for voltage at the starter and from there to the key switch.
If it will crank but not start, you would need to check fuel pressure and for spark at the plugs to proceed.

My 1989 suzuki sidekick cranks but wont start. I changed the battery too.

you need to go step by step threw your system. first check the spark plugs to see if there is any moisture if so all bad. check wires to plugs and clean contacts inside distributor cap. check compression on each cylinder. they should be with in 10 psi of each other. check to see if there is even any juice being fed to the distributor. if there is no spark you need to fallow it back to the source until you find the problem.
