Replacing the breather pipe is a temporary solution. The breather valve (cyclone separator) attached to it usually goes too. Awkward to get at with an alan key. The part is €50 in BMW. The pipe I replaced with some rubber tubing I had myself. It's working perfect now.

You have excessive engine breathing/pressure. When you did the overhaul did you replace the rings etc and deglaze the bores because excessive crankcase pressure is your problem and its forcing the oil down the breather pipe. Poor valve guide stem seals is another area.
rubber pipe , its at the back under the pollen filter , comes as a
double pipe one fat one thin , fat one is for air flow , thin one water ,
both for cooling the engine. The fat one was actually split , causing
my engine to idle bad , so i replaced the part , engine idle is fine but
now i gt that noise , and i get air suction when i take oil dipstick
out while engine is running , so i am guessing something is not right
but dk what
Hi , this sound like the engine breater is blocked. You will have to remove the air filter to gain access to this item, it is secured to the rocker cover by 4 x 5mm hex bolt screws. if you need any more assistance or help to remove this part just drop me a line . hope this is of help, regards mark
These are very common codes on BMW's which can also be false codes, try clearing the codes and run the test again they may not come up again.
With regards to the sound which you thought was a vacum leak there a breather pipe which runs under the plastic engine cover near the injectors which always gets a tear init which will need replacing.
it sounds like the oxygen sensor, air mass meter. check the crankcase breather pipe behind the engine ( cracks, common problem), it would be wise to have a computer diagnostic done, it will save u time and money
sounds like one of the oil breather pipes is bloked wich will cause oil to feed to the cylinder wich will cause smoke and uneavan running wich will cause the car to **** when standing. take off all breathing pipes main ones come from the rocker covers clean them and put them back. the main engine breather will come out of the engine block do the same.
