Between 600.00 and 1800.00 depending on what is wrong when they open it up and what shop you go to, dealership gets highest ,labor rates compared to getting it done by a smaller shop.

Nissan Maxima 2000 - 5 speed will not go into gear and the clutch gets stuck once pressed in. Is this strictly a clutch problem or could be a transmission problem also.

Sounds like your clutch slave cylinder is bad. It's only a minor, external problem, not an internal transmission problem.

How much will it cost to fix code P0744 for a 2005 Nissan Altima?

The possible causes of the error code you are facing are

  • Torque converter clutch solenoid valve is faulty
  • Hydraulic control circuit failure
  • Valve body problems
  • Or any problem with the clutches.
Unless we test them step by step we cannot identify the exact fault . SO estimating the cost of repair cannot be done like shooting in the dark without knowing the problem.

Hi! I was involed in a car accident today and was wondering if i can get some kind of ballpark estimate on how much it would cost to repair the damage?

Your vehicle needs to be seen by a body shop, in person, so he can look at the vehicle very carefully to be certain the frame isn't bent or if there is any other major damage.

Transmission Slipping

Have your transmission rebuilt if you do decide to keep the vehicle. Cost approx 1,900 to 2,600.

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE. When the clutch is not engaged (when the clutch is released) there is a loud noise when I am idling or driving. What is the problem?

sounds like the release bearing to me, and that would require re&re of the trans, may as well replace the clutch while you're at it
