2004 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 non-turbo. My MK4 VW shows P2177 and P3211. Help!

Question edited for clarity and toss in some CAPS.
Question moved to model category.

P2177 is Fuel Air sensor showing Lean mixture, so it is dumping more fuel and sooting up plugs and the catalytic converter. After fixing, you will need a system cleaning additive.

2004 VW Jetta 1.8 Turbo

The drain should be on the left side (Driver Side) at the bottom of the radiator. It will look like a knob and has a hose connected to it. They are sometimes hard to see. I suggest you jack the car up and get a flashlight to see. Also, if you have the plastic side skirts in place the coolant is going to hit it and go everywhere so be careful or take the left side skirt off. You can remove it by using a torx bit to remove the bolt at the K-Frame and then just pull down off the studs. Hope this helps, if you need more help let me know, good luck.

My 04 VW Jetta blew thick white smoke from tailpipe after freeway drive. No indicator lights came on, all oil leaked out (after smoke started)... is this engine or could it be just the turbos? Right...

A new turbo charger is about $340, but you can buy the bearings and seals and rebuilt if yourself for about $100
http://turbosandparts.com/
It is not hard, and it does not take long to do.

I normally do not bother with synthetic, but with a turbo charger, it might be worth it. What really seems to ruin turbo chargers the most is not letting them cool off before parking.
Once you turn off the engine, there is no longer any cooling, so the build up heat will burn up the oil and seals.
Run the engine for at least 5 minutes below turbo levels, before shutting down the engine.

How to install a bov on a 2000-2004 vw jetta

It is not wise to install a BOV on a 1.8t since it could cause problems with stalling in between shifts if it is vented to the atmosphere. The most recommended aftermarket solution is a new diverter valve (ex: Baileys, APR etc). If you still want to install the BOV they sell kits for the ssqv that mounts it to the charge pipe and routes the air back to the intake.

Engine oil indicator blinking

Sounds like it could be a sludge issue which can be caused from using the incorrect oil. It is a very specific synthetic type of oil that VW suggests and when you don't use it the engine can actually 'gunk' up and cause turbo failure. (This problem happened when a non-vw dealer sold me my car with the wrong type of synthetic in it and my turbo seized)
