What is a P1 error code, I have replaced brakes. These brakes now seem to be working well but error code has not disappeared. does it need to be reset by technician? 1993 Dodge Dakota,3.9 litter, ABS light is on.

on the 93 there is a problem with the abs system. there are several things that could be wrong. if i remember correctly the module is behind the passenger side kick panel. you will find a single wire coming off the module. if you ground it then turn on the key it will flash the brake lights in the dash. count the flashes this is the code for the error. it will help in the repair. as for the second truck you have a leak that needs repaired.

you may have a bad ground wire up by the head lights the ground spot should be with in a foot of one or the head ligghts
