Power window problem

My electrics play up in the rain. In heavy rain my warning buzzers sound for lights left on etc, but not in the dry. After the recent rain storm i lost function of my drivers power window. It's stuck half way open. How do i fix the window wiring?

First check the power window fuse,
1. Remove the door panel for the affected window.
2. Locate and remove the bolts holding the regulator to the door; it is likely you will have to manually lower the window in order to access the bolts.
3. Remove the old regulator, disconnect all wiring and check the wiring , replace the old regulator with a new one if defective.
4. Tighten the bolts holding the new regulator and reinstall the moisture barrier. Make sure all the wires are put back in the door before closing the door panel.
5. Engage the power window switch and the new regulator should work unimpeded.

I would start by checking main fuses under the hood. water could have cause a short also check battery cables to see if they are heavy enough to carry the amp load needed to start the car. factory cables are not heavy enough after a few years.

Headlights won't turn on in my 1999 ford mustang gt

Sounds as though you have an exposed electrical connection that's either getting splashed from the tires, or the moisture is creating a temporary disconnection. This can happen, but once it dries it will resume working. I would have your electrical system checked. I would also have your headlight switch checked for a possible short.

Afer a heavy rain all electrical functions on the drivers door are dead. lock, windows. mirrirs, seat adj etc. once rain stops and a few hours go by all functions return to normal. this only...

For sure there was a short in the panel board located on the driver door which is the master control.
If will be good to open the board out and look into without speculating on the possibilites.
But you can start by looking at the power to the unit , if not check for the fuse into this unit from the accessories section/window winder. If mainline has gone then find the positve to the unit or loop with a 15 amps fuse to test.
If power is present then there is a possibility that one of the logic gates( IC) or the sub processor (IC) could have failed.
But In the first place remove and dry using a hair dryer , wash with some petrol if the printed board is dirty( please disconnecct the unit to do this)
I hope you can start with these tips.

Jetta GLX 1998 (old body), when it rains heavy, car run rough

Sounds like you need new wires and or cap and rotor, had the same problem on my jetta 1.8L when I would drive it in heavy rain it would bog down and misfire. The water blows threw the rad right onto your distributor and wires causing the short (old and cracked or just defective). Try it out I'm sure that will fix it.

Bmw z3 has no electrics, all dead

might be water inside the car leaked in slowly from the soft top in heavy rain, does the car smell slighly inside when all windows are closed? take the seats out and remove the water under the carpets, then leave everything to dry by slightly opening the windows for moisture to escape, try parking the car in the sun..........

2006 Sierra-no warning chime

There is not a Fuse for this. Look at the Panel under the Dash on the Drivers Side. At the top there are 2 Boxes or Cicles. The one on the Left should be the Buzzer Relay Box.
