Question about 1991 Chevrolet C1500
If its a 91 then it should have a butterfly looking switch on the column. plastic piece that u turn when key is in. pop that off and look for two small holes in ignition cylinder. opposite of each other. take a small nail, smaller the better. tap into holes until u hear a click. tap lightly. after both sides are tapped. take skrewdriver or something and turn the ignition backwards. ignition should pull out. if it works, make sure u have alarm or park in garage cuz any skrewdriver will now start truck and steering whell is unlocked.

Ignition switches are usually located on the back of the ignition barrel and are usually accessed by removing the plastic cowelling from around the steering column.
The switch is the plastic bit on the end of the barrel with the wiring plug connected to it, and is usually held in place by one or two small screws.
Very best regards
