How do you remove the bezels to get to the back of the console/dash area.
I am wiring some aftermarket LEDs and would like to mount the switch in the box below the radio. Do these just pull off, cuz I don't see any screws anywhere.

First of all the bulb is difficult to find a replacement for. I could not the the exact one, but found one that worked.
You have to remove the front bezel from around the heater and radio controls first. This is just pushed into clips - no screws. This will expose the area needed to remove the console bezel. Remove two screws at the front of the console bezel, just above the front storage compartment. These would have been exposed after removing the heater bezel.
Pull upward on the rear of the trim plate to disengage two retaining clips.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
You will have to remove the dash cover to gain access to that bezel piece. That bezel actually extends around the instrument cluster and and radio area, all one piece. The dash cover is held on by a series of torx screws located under the top defrost vent, side access panels (when you open the car doors, there is a panel on each side). In the glove box area and there are two 10 mm bolts that are tucked up under in the glove box area but accessible. After you remove the dash cover, you can remove the torx screws that hold the bezel in place. On the bezel down by the radio, there are spring clips that hold that part of the bezel. Remember when replacing the stock OEM radio, you will need to buy a mounting hardware kit, wiring harness kit and antenna kit for the Cavalier that will work with your new cd player.
First you will have to remove the bezel around the radio. This bezel will also be from top to bottom. The bezel is snapped into the vehicle. Pry it out very carfully. Clips will be located at the top, middle, and bottom of bezel. Once snapped out, unplug harnesses so that you can easily work with radio and will help with not scrathing bezel. Once the bezel is out of the way, there will be four screws, 7mm or 9/32 use either socket size, that will be holding radio in place. Remove screws and then pull out radio. Use an aftermarket wire harness to make your installation easier. Install bracket and radio using screws removed and resnap bezel in place.
Remove the shift knob. Starting on the console around the shifter, gently pull up on the "bezel". When it comes off you'll see the radio's held in (with the little storage area) by 4 Phillips screws.
