Question about 1991 Eagle Talon
I have a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI and when ever it rains I have trouble with it starting. There is a solonoid under the hood that chatters and the turbo boost gauge bounces from 0 to -7. When it is at -7 it will crank but not fire. When it is at 0 it will start. It has all new plugs and wires and I hear the fuel pump run. Any help would be great. I believe that the solonoid that is chattering is mounted on the drivers side fire wall. At least that is where it sounds like the noise is coming from. Please help.
Its probably your fuel pressure solenoid. it is probably leaking vacuum to the FPR causing your fuel pressure to be to low. try disconnecting the vacuum hose coming off the fuel pressure regulator.
put your finger over the end of the hose and have someone try and start the car. (if your alone just plug up the hose)
if the car will start easily now, replace the solenoid and the problem should be fixed
