Hi Peter,

Not sure about this one, but it could also be a fuse or a bad wire.

Good luck,
Eitan.

Right indicator flashes quick changed back bulb same problem

If bulb is OK;

1. Bulb has a lower wattage than the original. This decreases the load on the blinker module and makes it blink faster.
2. Blinker circuit is burned out or the connection is dirty; look in the fittings for corrosion.
3. Bad earthing can cause this problem.

Good luck!

Indicators only repeat on nearside

Swap the bulbs both front and back from left to right. If the problem remains on the same side, take a bit of sand paper and clean the contacts, both center and body contacts to make sure you have good current flow.
Your problem is often caused by a bulb that is only slightly below spec, or a bad contact. You will not see the difference between a below spec lamp and one that is OK, but it can be measured with a good Ohm meter.

2000 Renault Scenic 1.4. The indicators left & right work correctly however when I apply the footbrake all 4 indicators come on as well as the stop lights. What is causing this problem.

Check the bulbs in the back lights as i suspect you have a wrong bulb fitted ,remove each bulb in each cluster in turn and look in the bulb holder as i think that you may have a single pole bulb in a double pole bulb holder ,if this checks out ok then check the earth on each rear light cluster as a non earth connection could also cause this problem,but i suspect a incorrect bulb in the wrong holder
