2004 mercury marauder. Y wont the fuel pump kick on???

Could be that the Inertia switch has cut it off. Check Websites with the term "2004 mercury marauder inertia switch" then add location to the search if the first search only generates parts.

This is a safety device and is a part which cn be in different locations depending on the year.

In addition to the Inertia switch, a fuel pump relay or a crankshaft sensor can do the same thing.

Try changing the thermostat , make sure radiator is full and remember that if using 100% anti freeze in some vehicles will not allow for high enough temps for heater to work .

How do I changethe fuel filter on my 2004 mercury van? i have located it.is there a fuel cut off or just take it off and the fuel wont flow?

Remove the fuel pump relay then try to start vehicle, this will relieve presure in line. Some fuel will still leak out when you remoe filter. Have a pan to catch the gas, also the filter will be ful of gas.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 mercury mountaineer

Hello, 2004 Mercury Mountaineer fuel filter is located in front and on top of fuel tank behind two shields. This is for 4.0L 2 wheel drive. When you look just behind the front passenger side tire you will see the first shield. Behind that is the second.

Thanks

Abs light on, 2004 moutaineer

You most probably have a bad speed sensor on one wheel if it is intemitent try unpluging each on and repluging them, sometimes just a bad connector, If this doesn't help get someone to scan the codes for you and it will tell you which sensor is the problem. Keep in mind that until you fix this you can not depend on your ABS system. Normal braking should be fine though.
