86 mustang will stall when cruising in nuetral and idles funny

If it has a turbo on it then it might need a new one because tubos help supply extra air to the carbs to raise horse power but if the tubos is defective it could have an up and down idling effect and or stall when not supplying gas or when stoped I had the same problem in my Lincoln I replaced the turbo and it ran great hope this helps

It is hard to tell you what is too much as it all depends on where you live and the shop rates where i live and what i charge is 60.00 an hour what i would normally charge on something like this would be as follows and all labor hours are from chiltons labor guide some shops use a different labor guide which gives them more time to do the job which means you pay more. But here is my labor costs front crank seal that all you need dont try to let them tell you you need the front crank replaced but front crank seal with turbo if your car has turbo would be 2.6 hours so you would multiply that times 60.00 if it does NOT have turbo then the labor hours would be 4.6. It is a good idea while you are doing this to have the timing belt replaced again with turbo 2.3 hours with out turbo 4.6 so you are looking at 4.9 hours with turbo and 9.5 hours with out turbo now these are only labor hours you will still need to factor in parts and labor hours for any additional parts you may want installed. I hope this will help you and give you an idea as to what your cost may run good luck.

If somebody replaced the turbocharger with a new one, you must check up all command vacuum lines, the entire air intake system (air pressure pipes, intercooler, connections, EGR - throttle vane, ...), and also turbocharger and EGR command solenoid valves (three pieces). Could be also MAF sensor defective! Here you have the vacuum air pipes connection picture for Audi A4 1.9 TDI (AJM engine):

Hi ,
Not easy this one, when your turbo failed the oil feed to the turbo bearings continued to feed engine oil into the intake side(could not turn off),the engine is then Un-governed and free to rev way above maximum limit,it has then massively over heated, the oil treatments are unlikely to cause this problem ,usually down to not letting the Turbo "wind down " after driving,The best course of action is to replace the engine and turbo charger and have the induction pipes and intercooler properly cleaned ,there are no cheap fixes for this you were just unlucky.

Odometer does not work

This is a common problem with all models of volvo, with the non digital odometer  pre 1998,, there is a tiny nylon gear deep inside the odometer that needs to be replaced. Your dealer will not fix it, but will put in a new one for you as the cost of fixing in labour is more than a new one,, My solution is much cheeper,, I have
many low milage VOLVO odometer/instr clusters, a few hi'r km 1s

ODOMETERS FROM 1987-PRESENT
I have many pre 1998 Volvo instrument clusters, most with Very low milage, almost all in Km, I have most models of Volvo.

at these prices IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE AN EXTRA ONE , comes with detailed instructions -with pictures-on how to remove your old one and re-install

just for example
I have 4,, 1994-1997 850/s70/v70 /c70turbo with less than 10,000 km
2 1994-1997 850/s70/v70/c70 non turbo with less than 10,000 km
1 1990 740 -940 turbo with less than 4.000 kms

I also have many Volvo instrument clusters from 1987 to PRESENT with varied milage,,let me know what year and model and milage you are looking for,, I will have something close

WILL SHIP ANYWHERE IN N.AMERICA

Engine replacement. 2003 Hyundai Sonata v6

first things first, turbo charging a car that was not turbo'd from the factory is a bad idea unless your going to put in forged internals and fuel managment system and then tune it, turboing a NA motor will soon lead to distruction even if its brand new. if you want more info i can give you my number i build allwheel drive turbo eclipses and have alot of knowledge in that area. if your set on turboing your car dont put in another engine use that money to forge internal your bad engine, then buy a turbo kit because you have no clue the pains of building a junkyard turbo, you can get a pre programed ecu to swap that is mapped to that specific turbo and engine. just let me know if you want my email and i will help you in either path.

Ford escort 1.8 td

Remove the hose at the intake on the turbo and see that it turns freely with no sideways movement. If that checks out ok, then see that the air filter is clean. At the air filter also check the intake is free of any debre. Most times if a turbo is not working propperly oil will leak causing the car to smoke. Frankster016
