Question about 1997 Ford Explorer AWD

Power Windows failure

I left the all windows along with the rear hatch window open most of the day yesterday, to air out the truck. When I went to start it up, to close the windows, the battery was dead. After a jump start, the windows would not close. The power locks, sunroof and power seats all worked, so it's not the fuse. What else would cause all four windows to fail?
Please Help.

Toyota Kluger 2007/8 glass hatch opens up when I turn the ignition key to start the engine. Sometimes also when open the car with the remote button.

Hi There,
I wish I could help you, but maybe I can do the next best thing. Turns out lots of other Toyota owners have experienced your problem. They write about it on this forum:
So I think if you keep an eye on this forum, someone will come up with a solution. If it was me, (since I have replaced power window guts, I would take the door apart, get some electrical tape and look for a possible short.

I hope this helps you!

The rear hatch seem to be jammed or stuck it wont open at all how can i get it open

Crawl thru the front to the rear of the truck, Remove the two screws on the gate release handle (they are underneath the handle, two philips).
Gently pull on the plastic panel by the release handle, it will come out about 4 inches, it should be enough if you have a small arm (which I have.) I wedged a plastic 20oz bottle between the rear gate and the inner plastic panel, to keep the plastic held out, don't over stress the plastic it will break if its old enough, look down from the window hatch about 5 inches or so and notice the 2" x 3" opening, there is a lever in there that is moved by the actuator, and a piece of plastic (which is what my friends truck needs, if someone has a part number or aftermarket please advise) but if you reach in to that access panel, there is a slide that moves from right (looking at the gate from the inside) to left, moving it to the left (Opens the window)
Apon opening the window, remove the plastic bottle, and open the rear gate hatch, when the hatch is open there are two screws one on the left side of the gate, and on the right side.I hope this helps you out, remember: don't overstress the plastic, strip out the screws, or break the window..
Once you have everything out, you can replace the actuator or fix the wire leads that may have come loose form the rear door actuator keep you from opening the rear window.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya

Rx330 won't open rear gate

Inside the glove box on the left side there is an on/off switch, which m,ay have been bumped off thereby shutting off the power controls to the hatch. Check that first. Then press the unlock button on your key twice, then test all 3 power hatch buttons to test them, one each on lower left dash by the gas cap door release, one on fob and the one at the hatch. If they still do not work it is possible your door may need to be 'initialized" by your dealer due to power failure. I have seen this with seats and windows but never with the rear door....

Back door wont open and window wont go down

The rear window has to be completely down in order to move the tailgate! You should be happy that your window is stuck up, unlike mine which is stuck all the way down! I have to completly take apart my tailgate!! If you want to try a trick to get the rear window down, my bronco has a rear window switch right next to the headlight knob, take the 2 purple wires on that window switch, and cross them, if your motor still works and if the wires are good, that should make the window go down!!! good luck, hope that helps!

98 4Runner rear window no longer operates

Open the rear hatch. Pull off the inner trim panel. Look to see if there is a little box with a bunch of wires connected to it. It may be at the lower edge, driver side. Turn the key on. Test for 12 volts at the solid BLUE wire (there is only 1 solid blue wire) that is connected to the box. Is there power? If not, check the 30 amp POWER fuse. If there IS power, this box may be bad. This is the power window relay for the rear hatch. The wiper/washer and the rear window motor power all come out of this box.
Check for power & get back to me before you buy a relay box, there are a few other tests I could share with you before we pronounce the relay box bad...
