Question about 2003 GMC Envoy

1 Answer

A/C on a 2003 gmc envoy slt.

Hi my A/C isnt working to well. I had the system flushed and recharged. The problem i have is its not turing on all the time. And when it does come on it shuts off on its own. Im thinking its an electrical problem. There are no leaks in the system and there is the proper amount of gas. Also when i turn the ac on sometimes i have to keep turing it off and on to engage. Could it be a bad sensor? maybe the clutch? or my heater controls as i have the auto dual climate zone heater. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I tried the paper clip test already. Still did the samething. Where is the ac relay located. maybe i need to change this. Also my service engine light is on. The code is 0013 which is exhaust B Camshaft position Accutate Circut open bank 1. I have no idea what this means or where this sensor is located. All i know is the dealer told me there is 2 of them one on each side of the motor and its gonna cost around 600 or more to repair depending if i need one or both. so if you can help me with that too i would appreciate it. After i recharged it, it was working a lot better. now its a matter of getting it on so thats why im thinking the relay. Hope that this info helps. let me know what you think

The only thing causing this problem thatn i can think of if, will be a defective or intermintant a/c compressor relay, or
if you have the check engine light on or the envoy is overheating
it has a systmes than will shut the a/c system of to prevent engine damage and take load away from engine, so let me know if you have any of this symptoms or if not try to locate the cycling switch most of times it is located on the side of a/c acumulator, if it has two wires only, by pass the wires with a paper clip and if the systems keeps on with no problem the have this switch replace, most of times you don't have to remove the refrigerant to have this sensor or switch replace just turn the a/c on, by oassed like i said and that will keep the pressure low in the system so you can replace the sensor, just make sure it is the low side swich and not the high but if you don;t know how does it looks like i recomend you to buy one and look for the similar on the envoy, any way if you do not need it or not use it
you can always returned with the purchase receip, tht's why i love america always on the customer side, good luck and let me know

Idle control on 2003 GMC Envoy SLT

There is no idle adjustment on these vehicles, it is controlled by the computer.
You probably need to have the throttle body cleaned, make sure it is cleaned on the front side and back side. And the battery should be disconnected while the cleaning is done, this will reset the computer.

Exactly what do you mean the rear axle is on the ground? Do you mean the body in the rear has lowered? Do you have the air suspension system on your truck? If so, you may a leak in the system somewhere or the compressor is bad.

GMC 2003 Envoy SLT my back break lights and tailbar lights stay on when I turn the car off. What could the problem be?

This most likely is a bad or incorrectly adjusted brake light switch. The brake light switch is located under the dash next to the brake pedal arm.

There are no grease fittings on most of today's cars. The squeaking noise may be coming from a dried out suspension bushing.
