Every so often the clutch pedal won't engage the clutch. The pedal will go right to the floor as if there was nothing there. Pressure will usually return within several minutes. I have checked fluid levels and had Nissan try to fix it. They state they can't verify and repair this because its an intermittant happening... Hope you can help!
I think i had a similar problem. is there a small canister in the clutch line with the line having alot of bends and circles. If so eliminate that pert of the line with a regular line from the parts store.

What do you mean when you say you fixed the cable. It sounds like the cable broke and you replaced it. Is that correct. If so, did you adjust the free play in the clutch pedal to the manufacturers specification. If you have not done this correctly the clutch will either not disengage, or no engage properly. From your description it appears as though there is n free play and hence the clutch is staying disengaged even when you release the clutch pedal. If this is the case, then try lengthening the cable until the clutch pedal moves with say 25 mm of free movement before anything happens, and try again.
you meant dis-engage im sure.
pedal up is engaged,
pedal at floor dis-engages it.
my guess, is the clutch drags unless i push the clutch pedal 100%
to the floor.
1: bad cable is 90% cause. non last this long.
2: no free play is way too loose.
3: broken lever on the pedal top. caused by #1
Your pedal height may be adjustable by a stopper bolt at top of pedal. You would have to check the specification for your car. Most important that the pedal has about a half inch free travel before clutch begins to engage. You need that free play to ensure the release bearing (the throw-out bearing) is not touching the fingers on the pressure plate when not engaged. If it always is touching, it will be rolling around constantly and will go out prematurely. Your new clutch will allow gear engagement sooner as the clutch pedal is released. I mean gears will engage just as pedal is lifting off from floor. You should notice that difference-the old clutch would have taken longer pedal travel from floor before releasing.
Check your clutch slave cylinder , or clutch master clutch cylinder see if it has enough fluid , if its empty fill it up and left the pedal back with your hand and pump it manually with your hand Untill it builds pressure , keep checking the fluid , Note this will only get you I a repair shop to replace necessary parts . And please becareful do the while car is rest and e-brake is engaged so car won't roll over . Becareful . Also check the correct fluid for your car . Hope this helps .
sounds to me like the clutch master cylinder might be bad usually this happens when the line or the clutch master cylinder leaks fluid and you lose pressure to your clutch pedal...you should have a hydraulic clutch on this truck...if its leaking it will need to be replaced its located under the truck usually on the drivers side mounted on the transmission bell housing...hopes this helps
believe it or not, the floormat on my 2000 Sunfire will sometimes slip forward and hold the clutch pedal down against the floor. It truly feels like a mechanical problem, but simply pull the floormat away and the pedal pops right back up!
