Question about 2005 Saturn VUE

2006 Vue manual trans will not idle once it warms up. Had checked out and shop found no codes on their computer. Told to disconnect battery for awhile and try again, but same problem.

Not going into closed loop? Shop may be using generic scanner. Have a chevy dealer use a GM scanner on it. bet you it will show a code. let me know. Early guess is downstream o2 sensor.

How do you "retrain" an ECM? We were told to just drive the car but it still idles slow and runs rough at times

You retrain it by disconnecting the battery for a few hours. Make sure you put the key in the ignition when you reconnect for the antitheft device to be re-paired.

HOWEVER in your case, you need to hook the vehicle up to a code reader and see what error codes it is showing. The problem sounds like sensors not the ECM.

Your transmission is stuck in the so called limp mode to protect the transmission against further damage, take the car to a repair shop or dealer for further testing

Front passager door won't open how do i repair it on a 2006 saturn vue

Take it to a body shop and have them to open it.
without special tools and skills you'll have to remove the door panel to fix it. however removing the door panel requires that you open the door. a shop can likely do this without damaging the door panel. Once the door is opened, then you can remove the panel and repair the problem. likely a broken or disconnect acutator level for the door handles.

I have an 03 saturn vue, 2wd with auto trans. When driving, usually at less than 2 miles the engine shuts down at about 500 rpm like when stopping for a red light. Have to disconnect battery to reset...

sounds like a throttle sensor fault do to the fact that the saturn vue doesnt idle at 500 normally its uaually between 600-800. i suggest getting it hooked to a diagnostic machine to find wat the codes are cause im sure it will be several.

Rough Idle/Runs Rough and low power

I would take it in and have them do a diagnostic on it, sounds like the cam shaft sensor to me.

I have an 03' vue with same problem. I took it to my garage, and found out it was indeed the strut. My mechanic told me that vues have issues with struts, and wheel bearings. You may want to have your struts checked.

Here you go..

Be sure that transmission fluid temperature is at least 104° F (40° C). Models with 2.2L engine: To access check/fill plug: In the engine compartment, remove clamp from air hose behind cooling fan. Separate air tube from the hose and push the tube back towards the transaxle. Remove the clip holding the two power steering lines together. All Models: From underneath vehicle remove the transaxle check/fill plug with engine running. Fluid level should be even with hole. Add fluid as needed until fluid flows from hole.
