Heat/AC only comes on periodically. Works great when it lights up (rarely) and problem is getting worse.

Thanks... I will probably want to get back with you on this. I know the internal blend doors are an issue as well, but thats a different issue to be addressed all together. I'll let you know if I have any more questions with this one.

I replaced the BCM on this jeep for my son in-law (it was what he wanted for Christmas) It took me a while to find the exact part# locally. It still has the same issue of the heat/ac only comes on periodically. The climate control display also goes blank when it doesn't work. Could that be the issue???

Replace the BCM. This is a very common issue and is the component that houses all the fuses and I believe it is on the driver's side of the dash. Any salvage yard in your area should have one for around $75 - $125. Make sure all the numbers match or you may encounter some options you have, not working. If you need instructions on how to remove, let me know.

Some cars use vacuum from the engine to open and close the doors that direct the air to different positions. It is possible that the vacuum line to the controls is cracked or disconnected.

Are the controls lighting up? dose the blower motor work? If the controls don't light up you may have a control head locked up you can do a reset by unplugging the IOD fuse for 2 mins and then plugging it back in. If the all the lights work in the control head and the blower isn't working try turning the front blower on high and then tapping the motor itself if it works after hitting the motor you will need to buy a new blower motor.

I have no heat in my 95 4s grand am but. the ac works great.

sounds like you have a thermostat that has stuck open and is letting the engine run too cool. when car is still there is no airflow to cool off radiator and you get heat, while driving the coolant is always cooled off and no heat.

AC blower won't come on

The problem is most likely the AC compressor clutch connector. It is a one pin connector. Located under the hood, near the clutch of the AC compressor. Clean this connector, make sure there is a good connection. I had the same problem and had to fix it myself. Works fine ever since.

Overheating in really hot part of day and especially with Ac

The block sealer you used may have been too thick or too big. A leaking head gasket or cracked head is a rare cause for a cylinder misfire. Tryin putting a manufacture gasket back on and change the spark plugs. If that doesnt work, try checking your valves or pistons-- maybe you have worn valve guides or your cylinder wall is worn out.
