SOURCE: 95 Pathfinder Fuel Pump

In the rear cargo area you pull the back plastic strip that runs around where your hatch latches and pull the carpet FROM the rear right to the front left of the cargo area until you see the round/square panel with 4 10mm bolts.  That is the cover that you remove to get to your pump without having to pull your gas tank.  be sure to label your fuel lines.

SOURCE: Were is the fuel pump located?

The fuel pump IS located in the fuel tank. It is easily accessed in this particuar model, under the rear seat. If you have an arm reat in the middle of the rear seat, you'll need to go in through the trunk. Remove the cover from the the far back, between the back of the rear seat and the trunk space. Remove approximately 4 to 6 screws in the center piece of cardboard that attaches the armrest and rearseat to the cross menber of seperating trunk from seat.
From the back seat, grab the top of the back rest of rear seat, PULL HARD forward on left and right sides . This should disconnect the top. Then, on left + right-sides, toward the lower cushon, there will be a bolt, remove them.
Then pull up the bottom cushion.
In the middle of the floor you have left, where the bottom cushion once was, you will find the top of the fuel pump access. From the top there is a cable that goes toward the driverside, follow it to the connector which should be cover by a small piece of foam. Remember to diconnect the pump before attempting to service or replace it.

SOURCE: remove fuel pump from tank ford windstar 98

To gain access to the fuel pump, it is necessary to remove the fuel tank.

  1. Depressurize the fuel system and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
  2. Remove any dirt that has accumulated around the fuel pump module attaching flange, to prevent it from entering the tank during service.
  3. Turn the fuel pump module locking ring counterclockwise using a locking ring removal tool or a brass drift and remove the locking ring.
  4. Remove the fuel pump module.
  5. Remove the seal gasket and discard it.

To install:
  1. Put a light coating of grease on a new seal ring to hold it in place during assembly. Install it in fuel tank ring groove.
  2. Insert the fuel pump module into the fuel tank, then secure it in place with the locking ring. Tighten the ring until secure.
  3. Install the tank in the vehicle.
  4. Install a minimum of 10 gallons of fuel and check for leaks.
  5. Install a pressure gauge on the throttle body valve and turn the ignition ON for 3 seconds. Turn the key OFF , then repeat the key cycle five to ten times until the pressure gauge shows at least 30 psi.
  6. Check for fuel leaks at the fittings.
  7. Remove the pressure gauge.
  8. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

1996 Nissan Pathfinder location and removal of fuel pump. Manual differs from what I see.

The pump and float mechanism must use a common ground through the tank, One wire is the pump +, and the other is the + for the fuel lvl switch in your dash. I will assume that you have the tank removed already. Remove the round lock ring holding the pump and float in tank by gently tapping it around counterclockwise till it becomes loose. gently lift out the pump and float housing. Then when you see the pump, remove all clamps and wires holding it in place and install the new pump. You should see where the wires for the pump go, one probably has a tab located on the bottom of the plate or near it . If your new pump's connections are different, then its ok to take off the wires from your old pump, and place on the new one. You can use anything you need from your old pump, it will work, except of course for your old pump itself (thats why your here in the first place)

The Fuel pump is under the rear seat. If you pull up the seat you will see a round cover and that houses the fuel pump which goes into the fuel tank.

Where is evap pressure sensor on 1998 nissan pathfinder?

The Evaporative emissions system fuel tank pressure sensor is located on the top of the gas tank near the fuel pump plate. I think you need to drop the tank down to access it.

Check For fuel on the fuel rail with the engine stop. If there is fuel, then check for spark at one of the plugs or Kal pac area.

If all is well you have crank sensor problem.
Good luck
